Sustainability and Social Impact is at the core of our approach. We are proud that as a group we are ambitious towards delivering projects that promote a sustainable way of living and impactful for stakeholders and communities.

In March 2024 Halcyon was awarded a B Corp Certification in recognition of our practices and ambitions to demonstrate exemplary standards of social and environmental performance.

Our projects are well ahead of market sustainability performance in the living sector and on the path to a net zero future. Nik, our Associate Director of Development, is responsible for the implementation of our socio-environmental ambitions, ensuring that every decision taken at design, construction and operational stage contributes towards this philosophy.

Our Commitments

We have pioneered a unique and impactful approach to community engagement. Through collaborating with the local community prior to site acquisition and during the development process, we create partnerships and tailor our offer to meet the needs of local people.

We capture our commitments to the local community within a Community Investment Programme which becomes a delivery obligation for each of our projects. Harry, our Head of Planning, leads our community engagement initiative. He is dedicated to ensuring that each of our projects directly benefits local people.

Examples of our commitments include:

Formation of a partnership with The Harrow Association of Disabled People in the London borough of Harrow providing opportunities at The Palm House for the organisation to grow their outreach services.

Delivery of a programme of events at Sunday Mills with Share Community, a Wandsworth based training centre that provides learning and wellbeing support to adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, mental health and other support needs.

Supporting training and learning opportunities for young people in Battersea at Florence Dock through a partnership with local charity Carney’s Community, enabling them to develop lifelong employment skills.
